Winter 2027's lineup is still filling in, but the announcements from the last couple of weeks — several of them out of the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival livestream — already give a decent read on what's coming.
Akazukin, Tabi no Tochuu de Shitai to Deau. (Red Riding Hood: A Detective Story) is the highest-profile new adaptation so far, with additional cast, staff, and a first promo already revealed. A detective mystery wrapped in a fairy-tale framing device is an easy premise to be curious about.
The Case Files of Biblia Bookstore is adapting En Mikami's novel series with a confirmed Spring 2027 premiere window and cast reveals already out — a bibliophile mystery series with a loyal readership that's been waiting a while for an anime adaptation.
Rebuild World has its main staff and first key visual locked in, adapting Nahuse's light novel under Kadokawa — worth watching for anyone who wants a new entry in the scavenger/wasteland-adventure light novel space.
On the sequel side, Honzuki no Gekokujou (Ascendance of a Bookworm) is getting a follow-up TV anime continuing directly from Ryoushu no Youjo's finale, which ended its run with the sequel announcement baked into the last episode — a strong signal for a fanbase that's followed Myne's story for several seasons already.
A handful of other light-novel adaptations came out of the same festival announcement wave — Soshiki no Shukuteki to Kekkon shitara Mecha Amai, Kochira Shuumatsu Teitai Iinkai, and Delta to Gamma no Rigakubu Note among them — all still short on details beyond a first promo, but worth bookmarking as Winter 2027 firms up.
As with every preview season, the real list will narrow once trailers and staff lists fill out closer to premiere — but if you're planning your Winter 2027 watch-list now, this is the solid part of it.
