To Your Eternity's third season closed out with a season finale in March 2026, bringing the run to roughly 21 to 22 episodes after a schedule that included a notable mid-season break tied to the Olympics broadcast window — an unusually specific reason for a delay, but one that pushed several episode release dates back by weeks.
The timing mattered more than usual this time because the manga it's adapting had already ended. Yoshitoki Oima's source material wrapped up after more than eight years of serialization, meaning Season 3 was always going to be adapting the story's actual endgame rather than a mid-arc stopping point chosen for pacing reasons.
That gave the season a different weight than its predecessors. Fushi's story has always worked by piling loss onto loss — nearly every character he grows attached to is eventually taken from him — and a true ending meant the show finally had to resolve what all of that accumulated grief was building toward, rather than setting up the next long arc.
Whether the anime's compressed pacing did justice to a manga that spent eight-plus years earning its ending is the real debate now circulating among longtime readers. But structurally, Season 3 did what a lot of long-running adaptations don't manage: it caught up to and closed out its source material in the same stretch fans had been told it would.
